i love this i know the beginning is quite stupid, please continue to upload i love childhood friends to lover
so spoiler
i checked the raws and this story has 5 volumes lol. and they propose/marry(?) in the end. i don’t understand japanese so i just kinda skim through it.
by the end of chapter 2, his roommate knew and (as the typical plot), blackmail(?) or persuade the bottom to test some vibrators. so he did but didn’t get too far cuz the top came into the room. they kinda makeout in front of the roommate then kicked him out.
and the roommate has his own separate love story too with a tan guy bottom which is also his childhood friend. they’re cute too and propose in the end too
i just kinda skimmed through the whole 5 volumes bcs i couldn’t understand much
comforting idris, saying its okay after HE was the one to put idris through it.
also, I kinda expected this kinda scene sooner or later when I first started reading this story. like, the prince easily let his squire to have sex w idris the first time they met. and he r*pd idris in front of his men/division(?). the prince doing everything to dehumanise idris by humiliating him so i was thinking the author will eventually put a gngr*pe scene so i prepared myself.
the plot kinda reminded me of old yaoi historical mangas. the one that had ntr, gnrpe stuff
one comment said the author wont end idris suffering soon though
No for real, the only reason I'm still reading this is because I want to see if Idris would atleast get a happy ending but by the way things are going it's not happening soon. I already knew this was gonna contain rape so I prepared myself mentally but now Laurence is js giving Idris body away and let ppl fuck him...
aside from the dad and sexual assault stuff(since everyone else in this comment section already said).
I found it sickening that the characters(photographer, mc) found Tou sexy because of his vulnerability. like, the photographer seeing this kid(high school) and his bruises then saying that it made them want to do something sexually to Tou is disgusting.
and then after hearing this, mc thinks that people who assaulted mc might do it subconsciously???!
like way to put the blame on other people’s actions onto the victims vulnerability.
like i admit that there are people with fucked up mentality like this in the world but i don’t want them to be potrayed as the mc of the story we we’re supposed to be rooting for. and for it to be a casual dialogue too.
i guess its kinda realistic like that…
I'm quite disagree with your thought
From what i got is that the photographer didn't have the thought for himself. It's just he assumed or admit people who saw Tou and his vulnerability might have that sexually thought of want to do him, not himself but other person.
And shizuka's comments about it, i think it's not wrong that he said 'people who assaulted mc might do it subconsciously', because talk about reality, rapist sometimes doesn't realize what they did until it's already ended or when they're still in the act does their realization came. It's because sometimes they're not on their right mind and the moment, they only following their lust or drunk which made they blind and only following the desire.
Of course it's not always, mostly they also commit it with their mind clear.
And whether they did it consciously or subconsciously, they should be put in jail
I disagree. The photographer was pointing out that Tou not only is beautiful, but has an aura that makes it easy for predators to catch on and target him. The same way certain people find themselves being treated badly or wondefully no matter where they go; they have personality traits or quirks that people read consciously or subconsciously and act on impulse. In Tou's case, he had a very notable vulnerability to him that people wanted to intrude on, accompanied by a need to keep things bottled up and not cause a ruckus, and on top of that he was more attractive than the standard man in an andreoginous way. Take those three things and you can see why the photographer who suspected domestic violence also assumed sexual abuse, and why Shizuka contextualized the photographer's argument with what he had previously seen of people's treatment of Tou, and agreed with it.
Literally no one is blaming Tou, nor are they saying it was deserved. They also think it's disgusting and upsetting. It's just an observation of a revolting reality, and if the MC had NOT understood nor actually think hard about the implications of what the photographer was saying, he would be a naive fool, which he had not been shown to be before so it wouldn't make sense.
I knew I recognise the art style and storytelling. It’s the author that wrote katsutoshi. This one is much more wholesome compared to katsutoshi.
I really love how expressive yet quiet the way author tells the stories. But yeah, it’s the style that we aren’t able to fully understand the characters because it leaves the motives open to interpretation but i like it.
Maybe it’s not many people’s cup of tea but I really hope the author tries to explore more genres in the future. psychological/thriller bl maybe. the art is too good
it’s good as it is. it’s pretty realistic but its still…
I desperately need a sequel of them in college from the seme pov because i’m an overthinker like wako lmao.
now that I reread it again, I understood Takeo more. There were a few panels that show when he started to fall for wako, but it’s so quick that it’s easy to miss. And he’s the kind that straightforwardly says what he’s feeling so we(and wako) think that he’s not serious about it. But he tried to convey his feelings seriously, that was wakou realisation at the end.
For Ao who was his gay awakening, he moved on pretty quickly, it’s more like Shingo made him saw Ao romantically and then looked at their relationship and thought it’s possible between men too.
For me too, when I first started to like the same gender, of course I wouldn’t consider my close friends first as a potential partner, instead think of a hypothetical person who could be. Takeo was like that too, I think. So he only started to consider wakou after he confessed. But it’s hard to change a relationship when you already knew them for so long.
He started to make moves the only way he knows how to from his previous relationships but at the end realised that not changing much and staying the same is fine too(fishing scene). familiarity/comfort is love too.
And he mentioned it many times that HE wanted to touch wakou. getting wakou used to it was just an excuse. He still respected wakou’s pace because he knew what wakou is like.
And he got jealous multiple times. When wakou said that someday he could find someone who treats him gently and when shingo give him scarf, Takeo got angry. even when wakou invited ao&friends to hang out, he’d rather spend time with less people.
and even when wakou pushed him away many times, he didn’t give up and just move on, he wanted to make it work.
And lastly he always put wakou first without hesitation, and vice versa. If he dated someone else, it would suck for that someone bcs he’d prioritise wakou.
tldr: he’s just the type to not consider something unless it was presented as an option to him.
if wakou had confessed earlier even before takeo realised that dating men is possible, I’m sure he’d fall in love in wakou first
rogi and akitora doesn’t deserve happy ending nor asami nor the son.
he doesn’t even care that rogi raped his son and said its for the better?wtf?
why all this cute family scene when akitora didn’t care at all about his son or wife. he just want to fuck a guy.
idk i love this author but hate this story but also admit that the storytelling aspect was good i’m just mad
yeah you’re right. that’s fair.
doesn’t change the fact that he’s an awful dad even if this ending tried to go along the “uwu happy family” vibes. cuz he didn’t care to know how his son is doing and said, “bcs of you, my son changed for the better, whatever you did.” bcs if he cared he would know that his son is better bcs of his lover, not rogi.
but yeah i know the characters was supposed to be flawed but to paint the ending as “everyone makes mistakes, but now we’re all happy”
idk feels out of place
sorry for dumping this on your reply lmao.
https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/yondaime_ooyamato_tatsuyuki/
this is the story of his son you can read it it's not the best tho
Unfortunately, Tatsu is like his dad. Too giving and too forgiving. He never sold Rogi out and buried the whole situation by making Rogi an underling. So Aki genuinely doesn’t know. All of the characters come from rough backgrounds and are a little twisted. It’s kinda why it works despite it being really messed up.
Exactly! Akitora really didn’t give a duck about anybody. The guy didn’t even flinch when he knew the guy he wanted to fuck was potentially dangerous to his wife and child. Even if not for love, he didn’t even care about his duty. But strangely enough, everyone loves him. At least Rogi knows he’s an asshole
guys please spoil me.
i read this yearss ago and remembered that i was so angry at the male lead khaol that i couldnt continue reading.
from the comments i know that *spoiler*** our mc doesnt end up with him but pleasee tell me if khaol suffered properly. i want him to suffer so bad so that i can read it and be at ease
