Let me explain Chase’s brother’s personality. He is the worst. We know that they are not raised in a normal household so expect that they are crazy lol. Chase is the most normal among them. The reason why Chase hate dogs so much is because Grayson, told C that he “did” it with a dog because he’s gone crazy for having rut. Ofcourse it’s not true, but since C has a foggy memory of it and cant even find the person he slept with, he thinks he really did it with a dog.
Chase will soften after the incident where they were ambushed after going to the hospital (forgot why they went there as the translation’s a bit confusing/incomplete). Trying to escape, they reached secluded place and Josh basically saved C from coyote trying to attack them. C froze as he is scared with them and Josh got a lot of bruises there. After that they were saved and their relationship improves.
The rest of the group found out about Josh’s secondary gender. My memory is a bit cloudy here. Not sure what really happened but I think they wanted Josh to go home but Josh doesn’t want to end his connection with C. Since there’s only a few months before their contract I think they pretty much waited for it to just finished.
I guess there is no other big conflict about this?
Chase learned about his son I think 3 chapters before it ended lol. It’s pretty fast and I wanna see more of their bonding to be honest. When C found out Josh is the one he slept with (Josh told this as to assure C that he didn’t do it with a dog) and the first thing C said is, “Did I r*pe you?”
There is no SA/r*pe happened here both of them wanted to do it that’s why I like this more than the first story of author.
Last chapters are about Josh introducing his kid to C (Chase saved his kid when they lost him in amusement park. This serve as C’s first step on overcoming his fear with dogs)

I feel like scarlet beriko often doesn’t know how to end a story. Most of her other stories are plot with ‘normal’ people so it even if the resolution is average, its still good.
but this story about yakuza has so much tension just to have a flat conclusion.
I read this bcs of the sequel about the son, why rogi did that? how bad their falling out was that he’s willing to do something so terrible to the son of the man he loved but in the end its really just nothing? like, you’re the one who left but now you’re raping the son who you used to see as a baby for what? his reason doesn’t make sense and it felt like the author just wanted to move past that plot point bcs the author when writing this story suddenly isnt willing to make rogi and the dad has THAT much conflict. like scarlet beriko wrote rogi in the sequel as someone who’s willing to do anything bad to get what he wants but now in jealousy, she aren’t willing to make rogi THAT bad of a character to make this story’s villain look vile. in the end the characters just fell flat. take shigure from fruit basket for example of a bad person but still understandable and complex.
tldr: the son and wife deserve to kill rogi and the dad

I hate that in the end they decided to put a heartwarming scene between akitora and his son too as if he wasn’t neglectful the whole time. he dont give a fuck abt his son lmao. rogi apologised for what he did(raping his son) and akitora didn’t even bother to ask what he did. just dismissed it by saying yakuza is yakuza and what rogi did turn his son into a better man tf? no, your son became a better man not bcs of rogi but his lover/himself. even asoda is more like a father to him
ok but…. Does a whole ass chapter need to be conversations about work lol?
Exactly!! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Right I skimmed that shit
Jajahahahhahahaabroooo
I think the author just wanted to vent LMAO
LMAOO understandable tho
