there’s a whole arc where abel escapes cuz he outsmarts them but is injured a lot in the process while karas is out like a light. by the time he wakes up he sees the burned down regas tent and turns into evil mode (well moreso just him not taking shit anymore and enacting his own plans now. like he becomes a force u cannot stop and is like fuck all yall death to whomever. also becomes a chess mind game match between him and the kings heart until the end of the main story pretty much). abel spends a whole fucking novel being a spy on the other end of the map getting info abt the kings heart for karas while pretending to be dead (which is like BRO FR?? TELL HIM UR ALIVE) and he tries to with a letter but this author fucks around and everything is a big ass miscommunication lol. next volume he finds out he’s alive but they don’t even meet until the end of it (i think volume 6?). so much waiting for a reunion so i recommend yall let it marinate for a long ass while now. if u want more spoilers lmk, im on the side story volumes now and its literally pure sex chapters LOL
