as someone with ADHD, i was absolutely blown away at the author’s portrayal of it in this story. i can’t describe how satisfying it is to have a character with ADHD that isn’t just “omg squirrel!!!!!!!”

skylar’s impulsiveness, his inattention, his need to be liked, his shortsightedness, his emotional outbursts — i see myself reflected in him. i wonder if the author or someone around them has ADHD, because they wrote it into skylar’s character incredibly well. i really hope that we see more characters with realistic mental illnesses in webtoons and manga, because its important to know that these people exist and that its not always cute or romantic. mental illness is hard and can make you act like a jerk sometimes, but you have to learn to live with it.

btw, for anyone wondering, its likely that skylar still has ADHD by the end of the story. yeonduk’s mom said he “was sick when he was younger”, but skylar still shows a lot of ADHD symptoms when he’s grown up. he’s just better at managing and hiding them.

jiwon behaviour is a result of his bad fam shit and it's understandable but i think considering therapy won't be bad either since now he might hurt the people around him
i get it
BUT cutting suha off from his friends, confining him to a place no matter how big (it's suffocating, personal experience) and acting too nice to the point of creepy is a little too much, don't you agree???? i mean, he deserves to have a life of his own too, jiwon is controlling him like a parent
