I think they said earlier ( or i probably read spoilers lol) that's it's also because the prince was jealous of the MC, because the king loved her and never showed any love for the prince. So that probably played a part in how he acted too

Yeah they did say that whish is good content yet commun then they blow up every thing with the poison trick. Or is it only this whore (sorry i call all protagonists whores cause i never remember there names lol) that thinks so cause she doesnt know about the backstory and she was trying to find an explanation of why he hates her . Or maybe he started making up shit to hate her due the poison that worked along side with his anxiaty to make him delusional thinking that its all her fault that his father was so strict towards him and that he prefered ria for being the "bot" she was

I refuse to believe that the reason why the emperor was acting like that in the past was because of some poison. Like come on. I feel like the author just skip the whole character development and just said, here he was poisoned he didn't mean it like wtf
