Male calicos are 1 out of 3000-10000 calico cats, depending on where you live.
Its rare because its an anomaly on the chromosomes, male calicos are usually sterile. It's same as Klienfelters syndrome in humans. Search "KLINEFELTER TORTIE MALES"
calico cats are female... like, all calico cats are female it's a thing that only passes onto girl cats
