Well her father did say the reasons in a chapter why he couldn't show her any sort of affection... i hope they had a serious conversation about it though
I sorta get that though? Clearly he's going to show remorse and, well, she loves him. Not as much as she probably did in her 1st life, but those feelings linger. Second chance at life and the distant dad is feeling remorse? I'd try to mend that bridge, too.
