Well, in my opinion, when Sharpe was telling Austin's boss that he always wondered what would have happened if he let Austin have his way with him, I thought that part was a real. Like, his expression and the way he said it made it sound like he really meant it rather than just good acting.
So, I think that Sharpe has always held an interest in Austin ever since that day, and that interest keeps growing and growing for Austin as he gets to learn more about him. It started as mere curiosity when Austin tried to do him, but turned into sympathy when he figured out why and how he got involved in prostitution, then it developed into lust and SOMEWHAT romantic feelings when Austin's boss wanted them to show him a good "performance" (The romance should be developing quite well after this chapter.)

For me, it's more like a sudden idea? Like a possibility after the "show" of Austin, he suddenly really realise that Austin is involved in sexual business, and it's kinda disturb him and lose him? And for me, he's worried about Austin, but juste try to not show it or feel it
I think now he does o some extend feel like he's responsible for how aj ended where he did.His speech before (during hiking) about how he didn't care and now both are real(acc to me) cause I think at first he only viewed aj as a means to acheive his goal but now that he knows so much about his personal life and has spent so much time with him,he feels at least a tiny bit responsible for it all.
But he still has a long way to go before we can say he has feelings for aj.He literally ignored aj's messages for a week after he went thu hell.He still doesn't completely veiw aj as a human but as something inferior.
Aj is said to have a pretty face and it's just that shrpe for the first time saw him in a sexualised light in that lap dance.Hes just horny plus doesn't want to kill aj after the mission ends for now.There is not much love,again this just according to me.

I was hoping, this would be more subtle... While obviously Sharpe is going to develop desire for rabbit (And I am deaply looking forward to it)... I thought it is too out of the blue. He himself admitted not wanting any relationship, and not being interested in rabbit at all.
