i believe Ling Chen mentioned something about superhero boy took away and dated his childhood friend who he was in love with. That and some other stuff just piled up over the years and he ended up hating superhero boy after a while.

I think one of the reasons is the mc really envies the superhero because he was exactly the opposite of him even becoming a villain gave the mc a motivations to live because as we know he's past self is lifeless, i just think the superhero wanted the mc to change but didn't really considered how he felt it's just my opinion

oh i don't doubt what you're saying is also correct. when i said that other stuff just kept piling up along the way this was one of the things i was referring to. it started with the guy dating his childhood crush, then over time and other stuff raking the MC nerves I do believe he eventually just started hating the superhero just because he was already down the rabbit hole of hate. over time he just started hating superhero boy because he as a "superhero" and MC was a "villain".

I believe that's why he didn't much care about his face being revealed to superhero boy at the end of his original life, because they had already descended into their roles and neither really had anything else at that point. so the face reveal was just one last stab at the superhero there at the end.

The superhero caused the death of Qiaoyi, the blonde girl, she was Ling Chen only way to bring his aunty back to life. Also Qiaoyi was his friend, he cared about her.
Basically he ruined all that MC worked for, killed the people he loved the most and didn't even realize what he did while acting all mighty.

Yeah that's what sad the superhero doesn't understand our mc or it's just he's stupid and just believe he was doing the right thing and just brushing off what he did.
