In the novel, Niannian experienced a lot before deciding to divorce Yansheng. The one that triggered him the most was when he was kidnapped instead of Luoan, he was tortured and he discovered that his wedding ring was fake all along. 3 days of being tortured, he escaped and walked home despite being injured and having a broken leg. That's when he divorced Yansheng. He was hospitalized and Tang Shuo took care of him.
Well after that Yansheng discovered that Niannian was W.E and at the same time realized that he was in love with him.
He pursued Niannian,regreted what he did and sacrificed his life for him.
I can't explain everything in detail because a lot really happened (it has 250+ chapters) but in the end Niannian forgave him and they were married.
The extras was about Tang Shuo and Zhou Yuanfeng but i'm confused about the story of Shuo that's why i'm asking ╥﹏╥
