I agree with you I never got much interested in her, her character doesn’t stand out and a lot of female characters are much better written (she follows a lot of outdated, sexist tropes btw)
It’s basically an unpopular opinion since a lot of readers of Berserk adore every aspects of this work and think that they are equally well-done.
I’m more reserved since when it comes to this subject, I think Miura doesn’t know how to write compelling female characters (even if there are some slightly better than others).
i totally agree, i feel like the female characters are a little off, i guess. Every female character in Berserk got raped which is weird to me, i get that its a different world and everything but for EVERY (or almost every) female character to get sexually assaulted is a little over the top for me (but i guess thats also a unpopular opinion since, like you already mentioned, Berserk is seen as perfect by most of the fanbase). Not compelling is definitely the perfect way to describe Miuras female chacacters.
I agree, female characters in berserk was outdated too. she was left to be alive to be another torment for guts, griffith was really jealous of her because guts was willing to leave for her, she plays an important part ..sadly... a good redemption of her character would be good and I just want gut’s justice arc to happen...
but if you think about miuras stance about lolicons, you wouldnt wonder too much about it
am i the only one annoyed abt the whole caska thing
i dont like that there has to be a romantic element i just dont vibe with this relationship (?) and i dont really care for caska
(this is no hate whatsoever and i respect that some ppl may like it)
