I love this manga so far for many reasons, but the not-perfect-and-human-like-behaviour of Kita is one of them!!
And it implies that his caractere development will be even more interesting!
He's getting a lot of hate in the comment section... But let's be reasonable here!! Is Kita's desire to stand out bad? Is he harming anyone by that? On the contrary! He's sharing tips with his classmates (even if he has ulterior motives), he's working the hardest out of everyone! And even if ppl blame him for wanting to keep his place by hiding Hashibara's extra-ness, is he forcing her? Is he treating her bad?
I feel like sometimes ppl want other ppl to be angels loving everyone, having no ulterior motives and having no inner desires... We are humans with flaws and we are NOT supposed to love everybody!! We are made TO RESPECT AND NOT HARM OTHERS more than that is a personal choice.
Ps: Ik this just a fictional work but a lot of manga characters are criticized for being humans-like...
