The men in harlequin always do the classic ''self pity'' in order to be forgiven or add some useless drama... I'm so tired of reading stories where the male lead has a sad or traumatic past and somehow it justifies his current actions. They're cruel and selfish, they only think about themselves and in the end they invent something sad to be able to justify everything wrong they did ╮(￣▽￣)╭
