I think she acted like that the mask the feelings of loneliness because of her mom the scene with her crying in the forest when she was a child because of her family situation was probably because she didn’t want anyone to see the weak side of her so she hides it with a extravagant mask
I can kinda see why mer is the way she is because her mother gave her all these stuff so she kinda ended up being a brat who got what she wanted even when she was a baby
