I understand everyone's p.o.v and all I can say there are a couple of things that are just lost in translation. This isn't my first time reading this story. I do not remember everything since I have read this years ago at a different platform, but I can assure you this has actually got a bit more depth. Despite that, I know when something that is supposed to be heree is missing. I cannot go through the actual motivation of the couple for their rejection and persual in the 1st volume, but to help you understand a bit more of what's actually happening, I'll try to expound some things. Firstly, the omege actually used to hangout with the alpha during childhood but because of some circumstances with the alpha's parents, they got separated or more like blocked by the alpha's mom. Second, to be honest, it was the alpha was the total jerk in the earlier parts of the volume and not the omega, and thus the omega became desperate. But in the end the omega felt miserable by the fact that even after becoming mates, he still can't have the heart of the alpha tho at the same the alpha realized how insecure and hurt he made the omega feel. Thirdly, if not the last I can remember, the omega's going-out-with-other-girls situation, was just him cockblocking them and wasn't actually cheating in a sense (he actually had sex with them so they won't pursue the alpha) he purposely tried to be popular with the girls for that goal. And that what gives away his anxiety for fated pairs in the second volume, also the reason why the alpha said that he acknowledged it was his fault that the omega is doubting him. (At this moment, if you're wondering, yes I pretty bad remembering names thus the reason for my omega-alpha, forgive me.).


All in all, they are both jerks in a way but I guess you can also take it as them being desperate if you were ever in their shoes. Well, yes. This one here felt so incomplete so I had to do this. If you are to ask me where I have read that, I honestly don't remember since it's been a few years and the platform could be no longer existing like the others.
