I agree but I don't think it's about the piece of paper itself it's about being recognized by everyone as partners and not having to hide anything, about being able to hold hands or kiss anywhere they want freely ,it's about being recognized as an official family by everyone

I don't understand the mentality that if you can't or don't want to get married it means that your relationship is doomed to fail. Marriage is just a piece of paper. It's not a magical spell that will somehow glue you together whenever your feelings cool a bit from time or you have a bad fight. It takes determination to stay together even through the hard times. Two people have to put in that effort, not the marriage certificate. Otherwise divorce wouldn't exist...
