For me, I don't think it's what he did but more of how he handled the situation. I understand not wanting to spill the beans on someone else's situation but he completely shut down the conversation. A simple "she is just going through some things and I was comforting her" would have sufficed but it was the fact that he didn't tell her and when she brought it up he dismissed her. But same, I agree that they seriously need to evaluate their relationship because it is always problem after problem.
I totally agree, but I can’t imagine seeing naruse say more than he is needed in situations like these. 2-3 years in their relationship, and it still feels like they just started dating.
I don't think Shinohara's situation is really a secret. So Naruse could've given a hint about it and told Yuki that if you want more info, just ask her, because it's not HIS business to tell, not the other way around.
Yuki tried to communicate but Naruse shut her down. And I don't think Yuki should initiate anything. Naruse on the other hand, well we don't know if he's feeling guilty because he's stoic af, but most probably he doesn't.
Honestly there was a miscommunication but also you can see his faults in this situation. Never should you hug an ex when you have a current partner. Regardless of what situation they’re going through. Yuki showed her vulnerable side, throughout the entire manga you could see she doesn’t have much confidence in herself as she tries to please Naruse. He handled the situation just not in the right way and not to mention the hypocrisy when Yuki even TALKS to another guy.
I’m looking through both their perspectives and I can sympathise for both. Ofc naruse has a deep connection with his ex where he understands and knows what she’s going through but he should also take into consideration on whether his girlfriend would be fine or not.

The points about yuki and naruses hypocrisy, there’s just so many little signs of toxic feelings on both sides that I don’t even want to get started, but don’t get me wrong I love them both <3

But definitely, I don’t even think he knows why she’s mad. It’d be ideally if hakamada respects yukis relationship and calls naruse so yuki can give it to him straight, but doesn’t seem like that’s gonna happen (ಥ_ʖಥ)

I get that Naruse didn't think what he did was wrong but it definitely is Yuki's business if they hugged and I guess Naruse thought that was stupid of Yuki to be angry about. I don't think they had to talk about Shinohara's situation but just be transparent that Naruse was just being a nice person, not an ex-boyfriend having cahoots with his ex-girlfriend, to a person who's having it rough with her family. That's it, nothing more than both of them should talk about without Shinohara's permission.
And Hakamada, well. If he doesn't call Naruse next chapter, that's on him. If Naruse gets angry at Yuki given that she explained her thumb couldn't reach Naruse's contact name, Naruse would be digging his own grave. Oh well let's just wait on the next chapter, unless you've seen the raws...
Y’all are telling me if the roles were reversed and hakamada was in a bad place, tries to hug yuki, and she kindly pats him on the back to comfort him it would be yukis fault for comforting someone in need?? I cannot w y’all. Put yourselves in naruses shoes. An acquaintance/friend is crying in front of you after you witness their troubles and y’all are just gonna stand there and watch them cry?? And obviously if you have respect for that person you wouldn’t just go telling other people about their problems. True, naruse should’ve at least told yuki he saw sunohara during their date, but the part where he said it ain’t her business is true. Don’t get me wrong, I love yuki, but y’all blaming the wrong person here. There’s clearly some miscommunication on both parts, but I don’t want to say any of them are in the wrong. Also, you can tell there’s clearly no trust on yukis part. They’ve gone through this how many times? Yukis doubted him, how many times? I love both of them but they gotta fix up.
