I'm confused and sad

It’s not hard but a lot goes into translating between languages esp with mangas. You have to make sure the chapter flows, any metaphors are properly translated, expressions etc. Then you have to rid of the Japanese by cleaning over it to it’s a blank bubble. Put your translated text. Some translators go as far as to redraw certain parts where the worlds overlap some of the art. So yeah it’s a process.
