(SPOILER: he saves a female mafia boss and he was so good, so brilliant that the hospital let him do surgery and more access to other things).
That mafia boss helps him gather the evidence needed to put in jail hae mi’s father and brother. Goes back to korea as a world famous teacher and gives him a week to give up everything he owns or he will take the case to the police. Stupid father didn’t listen and tried to convince his daughter to help him. Hae-mi was so angry and hurt that her father is now calling her “daughter” because he needs something from her.
MC sees all of this and goes “Welp, ur week is gone. I am going to the police rn.”
They go out jail and MC marries Hae-mi. Continues to work in the USA and lives with Hae-mi there with their golden child.
Turns 40 and returns to korea to be the owner of Hae-mis family hospital

I read all the novel, even though it was badly translated (my eyes are bleeding lmao) and all I can say is “he lived a good life “ got revenge, is the best doctor, got a beautiful wife and a nice son. He is successful til the end.
About Sangmin (MC RIVAL) I actually feel bad about him (sorryyyy) he ended up having schizophrenia like his dead mother. Payed for his crimes and told our MC his feelings, wanted to die by MCs hand but was not successful. MC past life wife is the one who took care of him and accepted and understood him. He ended up in a psychiatric hospital, got some kind of illness and needed surgery. The surgeon? Our MC ofc. Mc tried to talk to him, but he was so gone already that Hae mi was the one who gave permission to do the surgery. Surgery ended and when MC was about to leave, Sangmin thanked him.
Few months later the hospital where Sangmin was staying caught fire, I believe he died there.
