Ikr. I love it so much how she ignore him. The father, still have done nothing in this life too ok. He didn't even be honest and he didn't even apologize. Even if he apologize, not like I forgive him easily. Anyway, he still did nothing. I actually hate it when a story where the girl have to please their so called father when the father, is the one who should've amending their mistake.
It’s kind of fun seeing the dad be so pathetic and seeing him struggle with the fact he’s lost control over Keira. Abusers aren’t necessarily these indomitable strong people. A lot of the time they are weak and cowards who because they lack the ability to get what they want through normal ways like communication and empathy they use tools of abuse like belittling and psychological manipulation. I see a lot of people defending the father stating the first timeline is irrelevant and it’s the present that matters. But really what has the father actually done in this timeline to make amends for his absentee parenting and mental abuse? Nothing substantial. He hasn’t owned up or even taken accountability for the loneliness and suffering he caused Keira. He’s an adult if anyone has to actually make steps towards redemption it’s him and Keira is completely in the right to ignore him and see him as toxic as he’s really done nothing to make amends. And I don’t count him letting her go out or paying for her stuff cuz that was basic duties he had as a Duke anyways.
