Well I would suggest you to go ahead. The donghua and manhua style is completely different. In my opinion manhua is just too beautiful as compared to donghua and both of them are equally interesting. This is where the first season of donghua ends, the banyue arc so it's merely 11 episodes.

And since it will be your first time watching donghua, I can only say you watch and judge for yourself. I have friends who continued watching anime/donghua and some gave up. Just people have different choices and liking. So you better watch a little and decide for yourself. But it's definitely worth it.

And you have exams!!!!! Don't worry I also do that a lot but you should watch it after exams, if not you will only think about the plot and forget what you have studied.

Omg watch it u WON'T regret it it's way more gayer than the novel and the manhua if it comes to making it look gay the ranking will be donghua manhua then the novel like literally they took all the gayness that they've cut in mdzs donghua to tgcf's donghua the art style is really good even tho the manhua is more beautiful but the characters are really beautifully made and their voice actors are just perfect believe me watch it it's my opinion but I'm sure u will like it
