i think when the emperor died, the courtiers looked down on her for being a woman and the child being the emperor. To protect their child and the country, she had to use her charm and body to conquer allies. But she still loved the emperor so she cant really sleep with them and only favored the guy because he looks like the emperor and is meek. Women can be strong too in their own way i guess, but she will be misunderstood by the emperor.(〜￣△￣)〜
