from what I understand from the raws, the third tournament in the trial lasts for a long time, and pretty much takes up the remainder of the first season. what happens is, of course, Set and Horus fight various types of godly creatures. Set is using a sword that that is very precious to him. Horus remains pretty passive.
as they get into it, though, Set comes very close to breaking the rules of the penalty (to be expected lol) and Anubis steps out to meet them on the battlefield and offers Set a bracelet "weapon" (it looks a hella lot like a curse), and Horus tries to stop Set from taking it.
(stop here if you don't want to know what happens next)
the interesting part comes in during a flashback after the 'rape scene.' Anubis had gone to Horus and begged Horus to tell him how to lift the curse. Horus tells the story about how he first met Set when he was little, how Set had just released godly catastrophe upon Egypt, and he was drunk in sorrow, and had mistaken Horus for Anubis. When Set cried over Horus (thinking it was little Anubis), I am pretty sure that is when Horus became obsessed with Set. Horus declared that he wanted to remove Anubis, and take his place, to receive Set's love.
As for lifting the curse, Horus tells Anubis that Set placed the curse on him, and that the only way to lift it is to remove himself from Set's life. let go of the things he wants and loves.
so, flash forward, when Anubis is on the battlefield and offers Set the 'cursed bracelet,' Horus immediately believes it is some sort of vengeful scheme to remove Set, and that is why he tries to stop Set from taking it.
I'm stopping there, but a few things happen after that.
anyone feel free to correct me if I got the story messed up somehow.
ok, I'll try to spoil some more.
so the cursed bracelet turns out to be effective and in some way weakens Set (it has something to do with souls, idk) and the bracelet leaves behind the mark of a curse (side-note: Anubis went to his mom, Nepthys, in her imprisonment so that she could make the bracelet with his cursed arm)
because of the curse now placed upon him, Set loses, and Horus wins the final tournament, therefore he wins the entire game.
Set is immediately taken and imprisoned under heavy enchanted chains. Anubis goes to visit him, explaining why he did what he did, and that he wishes they could start over. Set is very moved but doesn't say anything. Hours overhears.
and then, finally, the trial happens, and damn, the trial is INTENSE (lots of worry in this scene) and it is another event that lasts many chapters in its importance. Set is taken, in chains, to stand before the gods.
what it boils down to is that the Enneads want to deem Set unfit to be the God of War and to rule Egypt, and they want retribution for the catastrophe done upon Egypt, especially with the humans. Isis, taking the matter very personally, demands that his soul be destroyed into nothing.
while many agree, Anubis steps forward and attempts to defend Set. unfortunately, in his weakened state (the curse remains), his plea isn't very convincing. in fact, it further convinces the crowd that Set has damaged little Anubis.
So things aren't looking good. Then, Nepthys and Horus enter the hall, Horus having helped freed Nepthys from her imprisonment. She, too, makes a claim in Set's defense and says that she is to blame. She says that she imprisoned herself, and that Set had no part in it, because she felt the heavy burden of guilt about the truth behind Anubis's father. The truth comes out to the Enneads: Anubis's father is not Set, but Osiris. Isis, upon hearing this, faints. Anubis overhears as well.
Ra, the Sun God and the most almighty of Gods here, appears. She claims that an affair is just an affair, and it does not relieve Set of his charges. UNLESS, she says, Set reveals what happens on the night Osiris came to see him (the night of the rape)
Set, with the prospect of having to reveal the awful truth of how Osiris had taken advantage and raped him, goes a little crazy and breaks free from his chains. When he does this, Horus steps forward to take Set down, before Set's punishment can be made more severe. He punches Set, knocking him out.
the gods deliberate, and in the end, deem that Set will take on the life of a demigod. he will be banished and attempt to collect souls (this is the part I had trouble translating)
he leaves, walking off into the desert.
Isis and Horus watch him go. Isis shows signs of guilt.
Horus sends a bird to protect him.
Anubis's curse strengthens. at the end, it looked like his body was shriveling up and he was dying (though I highly doubt he is dead) but it was really scary.
THIS WAS A LOT THERE WAS SO MUCH INFO AND I FEEL LIKE I LEFT OUT A LOT.
anyways, I'm very excited for the next season.
In the raw I saw 2 eps at the end where horus rape Seth. Please tell me this is not part of the main story, just special ep/fanservice, or it will break my heart cause I don't want Seth to be raped once more, and I don't want Horus to be a rapist.
Ps : do you know when saison 2 will be released ( in Korean ) ?
PPS : tysm for the spoil !
SPOILERS. It's more or less like that, except the Enneads only begin considering destroying Seth's existence after they find out he used human souls of the innocent to create the curse in his weapon that he had accidentally ended up giving to Anubis, which was an aberration because it was a little known, forbidden technique that used the humans' souls directly, making them neither alive nor dead, but trapped in constant torment from which not even the other gods could free them. Also, the curse Anubis gives him making him weak is not the reason Seth loses the third match, it's because SPOILERS Seth willingly and knowingly takes ahold of the cursed bracelet and then tries to destroy it, which triggers the curse into causing a huge, loooong sandstorm before attaching itself to Seth's own wrist, and the sandstorm covers everyone around, making it impossible for Maat or anybody else to see what's going on with the fight any longer, for a great while, which is an instant foul and thus Maat disqualifies Seth.
Dude wtf did my boy Seth do to deserve this?!!!!! Like wtf, yes his done bad stuff to the humans, but do have other gods too when they feel insulted by humans. Seth on the other hand has been targeted of bad stuff by the other gods. He’s been punished & suffered so much already. Wtf man I’m actually mad, eyes watery right now wtf. Shit I hope he gets the revenged he so rightfully deserves (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
thanks for the corrections! you seem knowledgeable! imma ask. (spoilers)
When Set is banished, what is he tasked with? I believe his soul and Anubis' soul are linked via the curse, which was why many were unwilling to destroy Set for fear of harming Anubis, but does his punishment have anything to do with relieving Anubis of his curse? And what happened to Anubis at the end of the season? i'm pretty concerned about that.
Can someone spoil me for what anubis does and the future chapters? I feel like seth is going to break his weapon but then anubis is gonna pull this dick move and seth is gonna be heartbroken and stuff. I know that Seth has done terrible stuff and so has everyone else. No one is a good person at all here but why is it only Seth is alone? Everyone has someone on their side even Osrisis with Anubis but no one likes Seth at all. Even the goddess of chaos isn't on his side, she's just there to have fun and she doesn't care if Seth becomes miserable so long as she is entertained. This chapter is pretty crappy cause everyone is obviously not on Seth's side and they're not even hiding it from him. I don't know if this is cause he was a terrible king, Osrisis purposely made him isolated, I think its probably this or it's always been like this all his life.
