Oh my goodness I thought I was the only one confused by that arc, I kind of just played it off as Juunta being psycho and obsessed with what Akira had, but ended up falling in love with sensei, not that it makes the whole thing any better. But I don't evev register that as part of the plot
I was rereading this for the first time and man, what a ride.... but wtf was that whole Juuta thing? Yonezou-sensei was really off her game during that plot.
First he was fixated on Maya, then suddently Juuta had an incestuous obsession with Akira and kinda rapes his teacher (wat). This teacher, in turn, had a very inappropriate relationship with Akira considering he was in high school at the time, and the whole thing wraps up implying that now said teacher is in a very problematic relationship with Juuta, a psycho high school student, but still, a fucking minor. Jesus what a mess. I'm just going to ignore this whole plot and pretend Juuta never existed.
