Well, they /can/ love whoever they feel like loving no matter the gender, we have various works with that topic: betaxomega, alphaxbeta, omegaxomega, etc.
Their instincts tho usually tells them to /mate/ to produce offspring, with their fated one or another suitor, and I doubt there's love involved in that specific act unless stabilised couple or previous feelings. It's like searching for food or running from a fire.
The only reason why I hate Omegaverse is because of the fated mate thingy. Having different gender is already worse enough. Betas can't love a Alpha or an Omega can't love a Beta is already worse enough. AND FATED MATE? BITCH ASS SHIT.
