I wasn't getting this at all at first. But apparently it's just because of cultural differences. In some culture, relation between cousins (first or not) is considered incest while in some others it is totally okay. Thats why i find it weird at first.
Ohhhh ok yeah i understand. Honestly i dont mind the whole incest and the whole age whatnot everything that everyones complaining and WILL be complaining about. At the end of the day this is all in the setting of another world. This world has different morals and values and ideals. Althpugh similar, it is also different. But yeah i agree with the incest thing not being weird.
In the beast world, when you find your mate regardless of it being a family doesn't really matter, as long as you're mate or pair. But Chika is a human from different world that knows the concept of incest so to see that his first human kid ends up with his cousin (and way older too) made him uncomfortable
Maybe the falling for your cousin was okay before but the concept of morality differs from country to country but it's a common norm in modern times that incest, in all forms, is not socially acceptable
Trust me I know a real life story of incestuous relationship and it nearly create chaos between their families and until now there is still tension when there's a family reunion. I do not condone it in real life but I still have reservations of it in fiction
I forgot to say that there's also an incest here, Chika's first human kid with Douglas is mate with Douglas' nephew, tho there's no problem about that in the beast world but Chika was not comfortable about that but ehat can he do.
