I feel like he likes him tho. Yes, it could be for Byul but I feel like he started liking him too. I don't think he -loves- him yet, but I do think that he's happy to be with him. It's just that he's young and wants to have a fun life, have friends, go out.... As he gets older he'll probably get more invested in his family... It happens a lot irl too when the parents are young
Why would he like someone that took their freedom away from them. Dojin is the toxic one in my opinion. Also jealousy is not healthy in a relationship. It shows that Dojin doesn’t really trust Hyesung felling for him. Hyesung likes Dojin he might not show it but he does. If I were him I would of sued Dojin for what he did and get my money
True, but he likes him because of yaoi logic, of course! Didn't you know?! Big hands, "ukes" falling for abusive/toxic "semes", normalizing rape..... :)
I'm obviously being sarcastic but it's true...
But yes, he is kinda toxic. He's literally spying on his husband, aka lack of trust, which is just not a relationship that would last irl... But this is yaoi, everything is allowed here I guess, lol XD
When I said that he liked him I didn't mean it in a reasonable, realistic sense. Most of the ukes in yaoi literally fall in love with their rapist like, 2 days after the rape, so like, him liking the guy isn't very surprising...
The only reason I would find the uke "toxic" is just that he doesn't spend time with him, kinda abandons him all the time, and goes out with his friends, lack of trust and communication (from both of them)... But that's just because he doesn't understand relationships very well & doesn't take it seriously (which the seme obviously wants), and the lack of communication makes it worse... They are both a little bit toxic, but mainly, like I said 10000 times, they don't talk which is why these misunderstandings happen.
I'm sorry that it's that hard for you :( It's just that I've read almost 2000 yaoi manga and like half of them have rape in them, so I kinda got... Shielded? from feeling anything, so it rarely triggers me. The only times it triggers me is when it's made realistically and how the characters feel is realistic. When they are all "tsundere" (as the author portrays them which is gross) with their rapist it's just... Not serious, like, the author just doesn't take it seriously and, for my sake, I don't too. Most of Harada's works for example show a realistic rape which is very disturbing for me, but Harada SHOWS us that it's rape and it's better that way, but sad to see that the characters who have realistic feelings have to go through that. I "prefer" those much more than the ones who are not realistic tho because those just make me annoyed.... Being sad is easier than being angry for me so...
Yeah... Ukes are usually made up to be either tsunderes and they are angry at their rapist only because they are tsundere but they actually love him (that's what the author uses as an excuse to make the rape... Less rapey? It's so gross and terrible that it makes me laugh...) or it's smth like Stockholm syndrome.
Also, there are some girlxboy/straight romance manga where a girl rapes a guy, but because the girl is a girl, and the main character, people don't blame her at all.
Reasons:
1. Usually, the guy is made a jerk, or a masochist so we are "blind" and don't see the rape happening because he's apparently enjoying it and/or deserves to be raped because he's a jerk?
2. It's the guy who gets raped so many people don't even see it as rape because "How is it possible that a guy can get raped by a girl? He obviously enjoyed it."
3. Like I said above, usually, the girl (aka the rapist) is the main character and we, as humans, naturally tend to never blame the main character for what they did because they are the main character, they are always good and they are always right.
That's just gross and disturbing to think about.
WHY DO I FIND HYESUNG TOXIC I STILK LOVE HIM THO PARTLY FOR BYUL
