ok i can't promise i know everything either lol but i'll try to say what i know(?).
i think the person the ml keeps seeing (like that shadow person) is kind of a metaphor for how the girl he fell in love with (i forgot her name sry lol) is hanging over them, like a ghost. he's always seeing her everywhere. it's not real though.
the snake guy and the waiter guy part is rly confusing for me so i'm not going to be able to explain this very well but i think the snake guy is in charge of this company that performs surgeries???? i think they also erase memories or something, which is
a process that the mc's friend, the seamstress has gone through. the snake guy obviously has a large role in this whole clone thing but it's not clear how.
the snake guy is in a relationship with the REAL waiter guy who has a clone. his CLONE is the one that the ml and mc met in the restaurant and took the photo that the ml has. the clone has kinda disappeared and nobody knows where he is.
also somehow the REAL waiter guy also knows the mc?? I'm not sure how this connects but whatever. this is evident in his convo that he has with her where he gets angry for literally no reason. so basically the ml, snake guy, and waiter guys 1 & 2 have some sort of history with the former self of the mc.
abt clones and the mc, apparently the mc is NOT a clone because she still has a mole on her face, which are not copied over when clones are made. This means that the mc and her former self are likely the same person (as in the same body i guess) but maybe the former her had her memories erased or something? idk. it's kinda weird that the mc still possesses some of her former self's habits though like the smoking and watermelon thing.
other things: apparently the ml is a clone too lol. this is so confusing. maybe i'm misremembering something but i think it was also suggested that the city they are living in is also not real?? as in maybe the whole city was cloned or something idk.
