I was a bit too frustrated after recalling the whole manga and got too carried away with my comment. It's a good manga though, nicely translated as well!
Still not happy about the fl, but probably shouldn't have ranted so much ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

I don't necessarily hate her, but she just rubs me the wrong way. I mean, she might just naturally be that air-headed, stubborn, innocent, and selfish. But I dunno, it's unrealistic and it annoys tf out if me. It feels like she is pretending to be all innocent and it just makes me see her as fake. Buuut maybe I just have different experiences with people and can't believe blatantly dumb and innocent teenagers like this still exist in this world.
Even with this fight just now, she pretended to be strong and protect yamu- but then all she does is let yamu protect her (it's expected, so it's a bit weird to see her stand up for yamu when you know she's going to end up being the one protected. Kind of like seeing a puppy trying to protect a professional boxer- except with the fl it's not cute.) The thing is, this wouldn't have been as annoying if she didn't pretend she actually has the power to protect yamu. Which she doesn't. Ah- she's basically all bark and no bite. That's it.
Also after this fight the antagonist is on the ground in shock, grieving her dead venomal. She literally has zero fighting-spirit left and the fl just hops along and goes "you don't need to be aggressive anymore." No shit you fucking- (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ Does it look like she's going to attack again? Why are you pretending to be so high and mighty when yamu is the person who defeated her AND (after the fl so callously told the grieving person to basically fuck off) yamu also comforted her. Fl just fails. She's wishy-washy.
But it's alright. I enjoy reading this and the fl- although frustratingly useless and whiny at times- is a decent character. She's not bad enough to be hated, but I certainly dislike her to a certain degree. I think the author wants to make her a fluffy, shoujo protagonist. But imo this only works when the setting is also innocent. Violent fights like this + permanently innocent air-headed fl = fl looks like a fake ass moron
