I havent read that but in Alice Academy one of the MC's best frnds sacrifices herself and they won't know. Its a great read :)
-Tomodachi game (friend game) (more dark though; like a lot more dark; there's a lot a lot of sacrificing, but there's some traitor as well)
-for Alice Academy there are many scene of friends sacrificing so yeah give it a read
-a returners magic should be special (he sacrifices though bc he is reborn into the past)

there aren't a lot of mangas or webtoons that I know that are like lost in translation; it's unique in that way; ill see in the futureif i notice any more like it
