He felt sad because she did it out of lust. He wanted her to do it out of love. Her horniness made her "need" him to satisfy her lust. However, he wanted her to choose him not because of lust and need, but out of a desire and want for him himself, not just his body. That's why he felt like he was being used for his d*ck.
