If this was historically accurate, the author would not be romanticising child marriages. This wouldn’t be a shoujo- it would be aimed at adults. It would have dark themes like abuse, rape and/or grooming. The main character would be severely brainwashed at best.
Stop trying to defend romanticised child grooming by claiming that a manga was being ‘historically accurate.’ If the manga cared about historical accuracy, it wouldn’t be this cheerful and it would accurately depict what child marriages were actually like and the happy ending would be the girl escaping her husband because that’s the only happy ending in child grooming- a child escaping their abuser. That doesn’t change regardless of time period. Again, romanticising child brides and child grooming is NOT historically accurate.
Also, the mc is a 30yo woman from modern day and keeping that in mind, she’d know that child grooming and child marriage is completely and utterly unacceptable.
