Ehh, honestly parents or not they have no right to say what their child enjoys doing if it doesn't hurt anyone(except the parents' feelings). If you know it will cause conflict if you get caught, just try to do it so that you won't. Read on your phone making sure no one is behind you, or when your mother isn't home etc. etc. I wouldn't promise anything as to not lie, but lay low for the time being and let them think you stopped. My mom is homophobic so when she saw what I was reading she did start cry and like I said I’m still a minor she looks through my phone but I take off my history before she comes in my room to check my phone I’m keep on reading but on my next birthday or next year I’m tell her I’m reading again
im pretty sure most of us are minors and bby u really shouldn't feel ashamed of what u want to read. your mom shouldn't have ANY right to start ignoring u over a small situation that should have even been there in the first place plus the fact that she goes through ur search history is actually a very big invasion of privacy so try to talk to her and if she continues to ignore you or act childish over what her child reads then at the end of the day, you tried your best and you did NOTHING wrong, period.
