Why is rape, blackmail, and assault so common in yaio?

So I’ve been reading yaio and BL for over 3 or 4 years now and a
reoccurring theme I run into is “uke gets raped by seme” or “uke gets blackmailed into having sex(raped)” which is so confusing to me. As a women I have read many GL and straight romances as well and you never really see any other stories going along this particular path or at least not as often in yaio/ BL. It’s so bad that people in the community call it “stereotypical” for their to be some form of rape or blackmail or assault in the yaio genre. I’m not trying to bash yaio because their are so many amazing stories that I have read and love so much. But....my concern is the audience. Who’s to say teens aren’t influenced by that? Excusing the rape in the comments and trying to defend the assaulter IS NOT okay. I’m going to use “Painter of the Night” As an example. The story isn’t a romance but people to like romanize the semes abusive behavior/rape. We get it’s a story that’s not the issue the issue is that people will excuse those kinds of actions because “he’s so hot” or “he has a dark past” or “in that time period this was all normal”.
Painter in the Night is MEANT to be dark/disturbing/psychological not a sweet romance where the seme ends up with the uke happily and it’s concerning people think that’s how it should be. I really need so second opinions about this so feel free to comment! Who created this twisted rape stereotype in BL?

Finally someone who thinks like me.... you know when I read killing stalking I didn't understand why was it so popular, tbh I am traumatized by killing/stalking, like every single popular yaoi starts with rape/ balckmailing but yeah there are some that are good like you said but

Yeah. Nowadays most bl stories always have those genre. But isn't why they put it on Adult mode. Don't get me wrong okey Im not saying it should be normalize but as also a Adult woman. For my opinion if underage girls and boys to not read and to not be influence to those kind of genres isn't the first step is to bringdown this kind of site like mangago (Im not saying I want this site to be gone cause I always here when I dont have enough money ) cause if they dont have a free access to read those kind of genre maybe as you say it may not Influence them. Cause I think 70% of audience in this site is underage. But I do hope author's focus on making some more fluffy a little drama romances Hahaha and please don't hate me this only MY OPINION (⌒▽⌒)

Killing stalking is actually one of the yaoi that takes rape srsly because its meant to be a disturbing manga. yaoi that takes the topic seriously and actually makes the story a disturbing psychological horror story is totally fine imo because it adds to the psychological horror factor and its meant to be disturbing and not romanticised, and ppl who actually ship yoonbum and sangwoo should get some therapy cuz the highlight of that story is the psychological thriller not the romance. I find yaoi that romanticises rape a big problem though, bcuz that is just creepy and the normalising in the community is embarrassing tbh.
