From the above recommendations, I'd definitely say read Orange. Though I think it could be longer, but it's overall very beautiful. If you like that, watch Ano Hana as well (anime).

The Deep Love series (there's like 3 or 4 of them?) is just a mass of tragedies than anything. It does not create as much emotional tornado as Watashitachi. Although I did cry, it's just not that fulfilling. If you like these stuff tho, then read Koizora maybe.
