Asami doesn't exactly love Fei. I think he just has a soft spot for Fei. His feelings for Aki are much stronger. I like Fei with Yoh.

Depends what you mean by "bad." Bad as in "There are laws against that sort of thing?" No. Bad as in "You are doomed to disappointment?" Then yes. Because your ship is never going to sail.

I love Fei and hope he finds happiness with someone, somewhere, but I don't think that someone is Asami and it has nothing to do with Aki. They just aren't suited for each other. Fei is a major drama queen and I can't see Asami pandering to that for long. It would be a short day cruise for that ship.

You should always write what you feel and what the story calls for. If you feel this pairing then you should write it. I;ve read a story about Takaba and Kirishima. It was well written. If You feel it you should write it. Take the chance. even if it turns out not to be popular you write for yourself first right? hahahaha( of course I can say all of this stuff I;m not a writer myself) Go for it.

You can ship whomever you want. Of course, some people may tell you why they don't think the ship will work, but that's just how it goes. Remember they are talking about different ways of seeing the story. It doesn't mean they think *you* are bad. If they start to make it personal, remember they are probably just not thinking it through and separating the topic of conversation from the people talking--some people who read Yaoi are younger and react emotionally.

Heck, you could ship Asami and Mikhail if you wanted to--or Asami and Yuri. Hmm. This is producing a strange image in my head with Yuri in leather restraints. Maybe it's better if you stick to Asami and Fei.

You pretty much hit it bang on though, write the stories that you'd wanna read, and if others like them that's a bonus :)

I can understand why you would ship Fei and Tao because of that extra, but I feel like Tao deserves someone better than Fei. And at some point Tao and Fei as a couple feels wrong, Fei is like his guardian. But anyway, its your opinion... :)

I ship Narusasu in Naruto while the canon ships are naruhina and Sasusaku. I hate both pairing, but I still read it and ship Narusasu. So it's not weird.

The difference is...Naruto is not focusing on romance while viewfinder focusing on AxA relationship....It must be hard for you....Real hard :/
