Masks aren’t 100% effective against catching COVID, but they’re one of the best ways to lower your risk aside from just staying away from people.
The commenter above me is completely right. 'Cause its essentially a virus (which is wayy smaller than a bacteria) masks aren't 100% full proof as the nooks n crevices of the masks have a larger surface area. BUT just 'cause its not a 100 doesn't mean it doesn't offer any protection.(protection rate with N95 mask is almost 90%) That is why it is BEST to wear a mask at all times when there is an increased risk of exposure. Although we in our profession wear the protective equipment kit we're still cautious and make sure to take a bath and douse ourself with sanitizers n surface sprays before we come into contact with our family only 'cause the exposure rate can be that high. So as long as u wear a mask and social distance, you'll be fine.
