i think I can agree with everything that you said but isolating nakyum from his loved ones? nah , nakyum's noona and others basically kicked him out and told not to come back. that's why when he actually tried to run away he couldn't go to them. they don't wanted him and he had no where to go n ended up going back to lord yoon :)
Yeah, you're right. I was taking about most recently when his sister was coming to see him and seungho wouldn't let him. I guess I had forgotten but his family did abandon him for the majority of the story. Thanks for clarifying!
Seungho didn't know they asked him to not go back to the kisaeng house. Also I'm pretty sure she told him so because of serious reasons, and she didn' really abandon him

I can't see the problem to paint erotic art in a house of prostitutes. It was actually very common that painters of erotica frequented brothels. I feel it's for a more stupid reason: Nakyum is actually the son of a noble and they are protecting his secret

It is jihwas fault that nakyum was kidnapped and stuff and that's really shitty and awful. What's not his fault is that seungho is a psychotic basket case and went off the fucking rails. He himself chose not to trust nakyum and chose not to look any deeper. He also is the one who made the decision to rape nakyum. I don't care how mentally ill seungho is, he still needs to take responsibility for his actions. Jihwa is not an amazing person and I don't even think he's a likable person. He's done bad things. He ruined a painting knowing the outcome for nakyum and ordered the kidnapping and murder of seunghos sex partner. I'm not excusing his actions at all but, at this point, you can't even begin to compare the two crazies because at least he actually let the victim go without doing anything too vile because he couldn't follow through. This opposed to seungho, who of his own volition, manipulated, raped, abused (both mentally and physically), and isolated nakyum from his loved ones. Stop shifting the blame, excusing atrocities for the sake of 'yaoi'. There's obviously no problem with being invested in this story but for the love of God please use common sense. Let's all just agree that nakyum is best boy and he and his sister deserve soooo much better. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
