In this case yes. He definitely seems to be one who has been curious about guys before, maybe intrigued, but won't be in any open relationship with one. This crush just seems to want to keep him on the side.
But it can work with with more than one person in a relationship, if everyone is in on it. And it can be real love too. But yeah, it's not the case here.
The crush is such a duche. You can like more than one person, but then it's required that you're in an open relationship OR a poly relationship. And all parts needs to consent to this. Not everyone is OK with their partner liking+having more than one person...
