Well, I’m pretty sure that the last panel is alluding to the fact that he does like him, but he’s hiding his true feelings (for some reason). At least that’s what I think, but who knows.

I thought that at least gray hair would like him.. and about the translaitors note, i think he doesn't want to deny him because he is afrais he wont be able to see him again
