So true. I feel so bad for MC since depression sucks and just drains your motivations for anything. I don’t think I would’ve been able to handle what she has had to gone through. I legit cried a little at the end of chapter 6 since she legit has nobody she can rely on.

if you want her to willingly want to help you, maybe dont give her more reason to side with the hackers? all he's done so far is victim blame, gaslight and cut her off. he fails to even take accountability for the victims they couldn't protect. he's so incompetent at his job yet he's judging her so harshly when they aren't even 100% sure there was any crime she did commit to begin with.
