I agree 100%. I only love the aging up art that a creator made where they aged up some of the Impact characters and compared them to their younger selves. Those are the only exceptions. Everything else is weird, aging them up just to sexualize them is still wrong in many ways.
This is my opinion but I don’t think it should be taken too serious because of the fact they’re of age and it’s not as if it’s a bad thing, but I would like to add on how I feel about sexualizing characters just in general and not just minors.
I don’t like it when people are so quick to jump to explicit art. Is that all they see in the characters? Now see if it’s the author theirselves that’s fine because it’s the author. I feel like we should start being more fluffy with ships if the characters you’re shipping are not meant to be involved in smutty things, just to respect the author yk.
But I do I think it’s fine to draw explicit art of characters such as one of the characters from Sadistic Beauty because of the type of manga it is. That’s just my opinion though I don’t think this needs a big change because it’s not like it’s a bad problem, but people should take this into consideration just because some authors may not be comfortable with explicit art that some fans make.
Especially when they make it clear that their characters are straight or not meant to be drawn into explicit art, they should stop because it’s pretty disrespectful. I would hate to see an OC I created being sexualized when that’s not what their character is.
Also with AOT I completely agree. My ships in AOT are Erwin x Levi, Mikasa x Eren, Ymir x Historia and that’s about it. I probably would’ve shipped Armin x Annie but I think the only reason it’s like that is because of Berthold, and I also like to think of Annie as someone who’d be single and independent.
I think some people ship Sasha with Niccolo but I’m pretty sure she’s still underage. If she was of age I would’ve shipped them but she’s still a minor I’m pretty sure because on google it says she’s 16, so I ship those two as close siblings.

I hate when people get angry when we bring up the ages.. like what’s so bad about it is this ship had already existed when Eren was underage... around 13-15 idk his exact age but he was around those ages. It’s pretty uncomfortable honestly.
And I really do not like the anime fandom.. it’s either you’re on the toxic side, or the side with the sexualization of minors/characters in general.. or just random shippers who get angry you don’t agree.
I usually just stay in small anime communities on discord and I look at anime edits on tiktok because those aren’t too problematic tbh. I also talk about anime with mostly my friends because they have some of the same opinions as me. The anime fandom is basically a 50/50 community tbh.
And thank you so much. :)) I actually used to think I was bisexual, when I was 12. I had a lot of female crushes and I actually kissed my old best friend and a few others chicks, though I though it was normal. I never thought anything of it actually tbh because of how young i were and uneducated about lgbtq.
I’d see things about people just hitting puberty and that it’s normal to have an attraction because of hormones. I fantasized about doing certain things with girls and got into PH.. unfortunately cause PH is so inaccurate. I actually had only one boyfriend before but never cared about him and ended the relationship fast. I thought because I dated a guy I was bisexual but that wasn’t the case.
I now have a girlfriend we’ve been dating almost a year and almost everyone in my circle accepts me so I’m so happy about that especially at a young age.
I hope you’re also accepted and happy with yourself because everyone deserves love and acceptance in theirselves and from others, especially lgbtq because of how much we’re hated on.
“I didn’t accept mine until I was around 16-17.” Seeing that because of how long it took you I really hope it wasn’t hard :(.. I have a friend atm who’s struggling with her sexuality so I know how hard it can be. I’m glad you were able to accept yourself and work anything out that was problematic during that path.
