I like sangwoo’s character because of his backstory and how everything in the story plays out but people who try and justify the actual are just nasty. I heard something about the author being uncomfortable with people calling it Yaoi when it’s not meant to be Yaoi, the author theirselves said it wasn’t Yaoi. A lot of people were getting angry over that so I wouldn’t even be surprised if the author of killing stalking didn’t like the community because of the way the treat the story. Most of them fetish the relationship and sexualize rape in a bad way when that’s not what the story is about. What people need to do, especially the writers of BL, I feel as though they should start switching up all of these rape tropes because it’s not a good community at all knowing that almost the whole community is filled with minors. People need to allow change and stop getting so angry over getting called out for it.
Exactly!!! The rape trope shouldn’t be a thing, it’s disgusting. If rape is used in the story for the characters trauma or something, that’s different and handled well, can be quite moving.
And yes people call anything now with two men in a relationship yaoi. Yaoi seems to have different meaning to people, but from what I know it’s mainly to describe a BL that heavily focuses on sex. KS isn’t a romance, I guess you could refer to the characters as mlm (male love male) but yaoi and BL is widely incorrect.

As a whole, the BL fandom is kinda 50/50. One side are just people looking to enjoy the mangas/etc while the other is looking to fetishize. The people who fetishize and justify the rape tropes are the worst, sigh*.
I agree. I kind of get pissed at the Sasuke x Naruto ship because people only ship them cause of one childish kiss they had. To me they’re like brothers and if you’re gonna ship someone at least look at the way they act with each other, they don’t have any chemistry at all, but like you said they ship anything that can be BL which is true.
I agree with the fetishizing too, and I hate how this fandom as a whole is not getting called out for it. Like literally one half of the fandom only reads the shit because it’s two men having sex. Another one was a GL and the one girl kept having sex with men because she couldn’t accept that she was lesbian, and the comments were calling her a disgusting whore and saying that she should just hurry up and have sex with her straight friend. The girl ended up with someone other then the friend bc the friend was straight, but people were mad bc the friend has big boobs and the girl she needed up with has small boobs and a little chunky.
It’s just so messed up. Wanting to see some sex scenes are fine, but if your reading for the sole purpose to see two girls get it on, or two guys, then there’s a problem.

I totally agree. I’m only 14 and I’m lesbian and I read a little bit of everything. I got into BL when I was 13 because of YouTube’s Lenzhin ad’s. I got into GL a few months after I got into BL when a close friend on Discord introduced me to it. I’ve also read a couple of straight romances.
I’ve never really looked into the fandom until a couple months afterwards. I noticed it in the anime fandom especially with AOT how people would ship Levi and eren.
I don’t think anything is wrong with shipping random people but I hate it the most when it’s such a random ship and I hate when one of them are a MINOR. They sexualize minors so much and I’m like cmon man.. even if you’re a minor yourself it still doesn’t make it right. I feel like the only okay ships are if it’s a minor with another minor and when you don’t sexualize the two.
Like with me I play Genshin Impact and I ship Chongyun and Xingqui because I find the two so adorable but I hate when I come across explicit art.. I only like the fluffy things with the two, this is why I stay off of Twitter to prevent seeing those things because people just can’t hold back.
