I agree. If the mother truly was evil then too bad. But instead of "using" him as a means of suicide, I think she just fell in love with him.
It's probs a case of "Romeo and Juliet" syndrome from the mother's side.
Totally agree cause in the earlier chapters estrella had memories of her mother saying that she just met the one she’s in love
Like if we see his memories were removed,, the brother in law commenting the mother using the king as she please for the means of ki!!ing herself...so if we see not really the kings fault ( if it was non concensual :/) if it was non con then glad the mother died
