There's also the fact that the author wrote this with the idea of the two of them being friends, not lovers. Which is why it carries a very soft feeling of shounen ai as well. I rather enjoy it, it feels like actually learning to love. Not like so many others where the guys see each other and it's suddenly LOVE! Or SEX and suddenly we're the perfect couple. lol
There are so many BL with sex, that I find this one really refreshing for dealing with the subject gently, realistically. It's a very nice story.
Even if this is shonen-ai, I, AT LEAST want them to be a couple at the end for this to have a good ending.
