I think it was because of how she acted towards frey at first and how the second she realized he was actually strong she wanted to be his friend and said that she had always been interested in him even though she never paid attention to him previously. After that people just dislike her because they think she doesnt deserve his help in getting stronger.
I think another part of it is that she isnt in the novel so she pretty much has no real purpose. And was most likely only added into this version as a love interest or something

She reminded you of Sakura in a way thats why. I dont dislike her but i don't like her either. But i think that she is getting better as we go.
