That plot set up doesn’t necessarily belong to July found by chance tho. Don’t get me wrong- I love July found by chance, but the two plots are completely different.

MC is indecisive and not so smart. Though MC has a better dude that likes him (black haired guy), the childhood friend confesses or something like that and MC is automatically happy and sleeps with him. Idk about that black haired bottom dude, there’s something about him and the author of the story. It wasn’t clear about that. Waiter guy was the original Male lead and was supposed to be set up with the MC- but completely got abandoned and the author made a whole new story with the childhood friend as male lead instead. So I guess the story got changed three times. Waiter looks like he wants to become the male lead again somehow. Oh and btw the day the childhood friend and MC slept together, the black haired bottom broke into the place and attempted to kill the MC while sleeping- but didn’t do it and probs planned for something else. Story is more messy compared to July found by chance.

Why does this feel frighteningly similar to july found by chance just BL-sified?
I mean I admit I'm quick to judge as im just on chap 6 but some of the world building aspects are almost the exact same in july found by chance. Even the waiter dude. Thought this would be original and fun :(
