I don’t get that either. Empire is build by people so if those people chose her as their queen WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? Like common dude. It’s like he’s making all those problems himself.
I also don’t really believe u can force someone into marriage. Like sure he can face some problems and disagreements but it’s not like they can throw him off the throne and even if they did I bet he would’ve been happy about it.
dunno much but i guess i appreciate the fact that he loves and rlly wanna protect evie... i think he wanna fight for her but he can't bc of the weight of the situation, he's JUST the crown prince and no emperor, with one flick of the emperor's finger he can kill off evie and still pull off a pretty petty reason the public would still believe, i mean look a how he's a slave to his father he won't be if there's nothing in there, right? i think he's the kind who would rather see their loved ones with someone else (tho he assumed too much that maybe evie will come to like renok) than to be with him where it's more probable that evie will be extremely hurt. ofc he knows that evie will be in pain but maybe he cared more about how evie will cease to exist once he chooses her. this too real tho i cant —
