The author Nayuta-san is still working on two other books, I think she/he finished one on futekiya.com, and there's Love Me love my dog which is a sequel to Hoshi.
She/he probably has plans for the neighbour as well since she/he likes to make spin offs a lot.
If we knew their twitter it would be easier to follow up :/ but I couldn't find it ;-;
Oh ofc yes, you’re right! I read the first one beforehand so I was really excited to read this one too, I love her art style so much (≧∀≦) I agree it would feel off, but I still rlly enjoyed it :))
And oh my god yes!! I’d sell my nonexistent left ball for a spin off/sequel w the neighbor tbh-
The main couple was literally so wholesome so I still enjoyed it although I agree the way they were introduced was confusing and it made them feel more disconnected from the narrative as a whole. I appreciate what the author tried to do with the perspective, though it was admittedly disorienting they were still so cute ╥﹏╥
