ahh im confused, so the story that just released the pilot whatever has nothing to do with the promised neverland series??
Yeah it was first submitted by the creators but after some heavy critic and ideas it formed into the promised neverland so it's still connected to the promised neverland it was like the base of the whole story
If anyone is curious about the latest chapter here (i copied this from a new article) Different in that "We Were Born" is actually the one-shot first produced by Shirai and Demizu before it eventually became The Promised Neverland series that we know and love today. With a whole new set of characters and world, you can see some of the seeds that would eventually form the ground work of the main series. If you want to check it out for yourself
